Another weekend, another party. This time for Abi's friend Amy's first birthday. It was chaos again, as each baby grappled for whatever the nearest baby had. Nothing looks as good as the toy in somebody else's hand. We had a great time and I had some delicious cake. Unfortunately Abi woke up this morning with the sneezes. Hopefully she will feel better before we leave Wednesday for Italy (!).
Here is Amy blowing out the candle and a few of Abi fighting for her rights.

Babies, everywhere!
As I sit here drinking coffee and feeding my baby left over croissant (note to self; must ask Jess about the best way to reheat croissants), I realize how lucky I am. Not only does my baby, who doesn't eat much, love croissant but she is also MY baby. We had the playgroup over yesterday (and yes we all had to go to bed early after the experience). While it was entertaining to watch them all try to run over each other with our rolling dog or brain each other with blocks I thought about John's comment that he wouldn't trade Abi for a million of someone else and I agree. She is a strange funny little one but she is ours. So now as she uses her sippy cup to paint designs on the floor and walls I smile indulgently and encourage her artistic nature.
Here are a few pictures from playgroup. Keep in mind that it is hard to capture the true chaos. I should have filmed some video.

Our New Arrival
He has finally arrived. That's right Teddy has come home, or rather come home again. The best-travelled Teddy Bear in the world (this is his second, maybe third, trip to Europe and he has been to South America) is now in the loving arms of Abi for good after a tempting visit last June. For those that don't know this teddy bear has been under constructions since before Abi was born and has been the subject of many debates on whether he would actually ever be done. Many thanks to Grandma Georgia for knitting, re-knitting, and re-knitting, and re-knitting him. And thanks to Grandad Moby for finally stopping the madness and popping him in a box and shipping him over here.
It was a beautiful day here and Abi and went for a long walk under the blue sky.
